Turns out there's even better news as Jason Ronald, Director of Program Management at Xbox, revealed on Twitter: But this could be about to change and during X018 Square Enix and Microsoft revealed that the whole Final Fantasy XIII suite (that also includes Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII) will be added to the list of backwards compatible games for Xbox One - and also get 4K support with Xbox One X. Xbox has never really been the go-to option for Final Fantasy titles, natural given the franchise history and huge Japanese following.
